So this week, I released two short story collections on Amazon! I haven’t had a chance to share the news until now but if you enjoy the short stories I share on my blog, you’ll love these collections – and they are a bargain at 99p each! They are fully illustrated by artist Anna Eveleigh too! You’ll recognise some of the stories whilst others are entirely exclusive. Here’s a bit more information:
Did you know that ‘Sherlock Bones’ has a nose for sniffing out crime? Have you met King Toad, who likes to listen to the jazzy music of the dragonflies in the constant party that is ‘Pond Life’? How about the dog who hated ‘Walkies’ (if you can even believe that there is one)?
You can meet all these characters and more in Cats, Dogs, and Frogs: the animal-themed short-story collection. There is even a bit of magical mayhem, as ‘Farmer Giles and His One Wish’ try to save his sheep and in ‘Unicorn Dreams’, where Norman Nobody dreams of farting rainbows!
With each story beautifully illustrated, the animal-lover in you will fall in love with these comical quick-reads that are suitable for readers of all ages.
Cats, Dogs, and Frogs forms part of the Tall Tales by a Short Author series of humorous short-story collections. Please note that some stories may have previously been published on Riley J. Froud’s blog, although each collection contains some exclusive content.
Have you ever had one of those days that feels about four years long? Well they could get a whole lot worse with The Curse of Time. Mr Pillock also knows just how long a day can feel, as his story, There Was an Old Lady Who Lived in a Brain, is the personification of nagging!
Meet The Rainwitch, who taunts the playing children as they hunt for the magic gooseberry, or Angela Papadopoulos, who’ll do just about anything For the Love of Mr. Trollope (Anthony Trollope, that is). Or of course, you could always read about My Date with the Dead.
With each story beautifully illustrated, you’ll fall in love with these fantastical and comical quick-reads that are suitable for readers of all ages.
Ghosts, Ghouls, and Magical Fools forms part of the Tall Tales by a Short Author series of humorous short-story collections. Please note that some stories may have previously been published on Riley J. Froud’s blog, although each collection contains some exclusive content.
In other news, I updated the cover of my novella yesterday! What do you think? The image is the same but I wanted to make the writing stand out more.
When the not-so-intrepid Mr Sharpe finds a stranger unfurling in his kitchen, little did he realise that he was going to be dragged through an eye-rolling, jaw-flapping, thigh-slapping world of magic and mayhem.
It’s all caused, of course, by Queen Queenie and her lover who have lost their son. That’s right, they’ve mislaid him. They can’t remember where they’ve put him and now they want him back. All they know is two things: that they placed him in another world for safe-keeping and that his name is John Sharpe. So they start sorting through the lot…
In an exciting adventure through a new world, 1,348 John Sharpes desperately attempt to get back to their own lives, whilst Queenie attempts to find the son she banished so long ago. Will the Sharpes ever get back to their old beds and TV dinners? Will Queenie find her son? And will the son even be willing to return?
John Sharpe, No. 1,348 is a novella of whimsical proportions. A mischievous and quick read, John Sharpe is bound to lift you from your blues and have you giggling all the way to..er…where-ever you’re going! It is a stand-alone novella that will, in time, form part of a much larger Underworld adventure.
